Our Leaving a Legacy of Faith is Important!
There have been many people throughout history who have penned their last words before they died. Some record the bitter lonely life they led, others about their glorious home in heaven that was waiting for them. Others have left a legacy of love, encouragement, kindness and compassion.What do you want your family and friends to read about you? Do they know your heart? Have you thought about writing letters of encouragement to each of your family members and close friends? Telling people verbally how you feel and appreciate them is a wonderful way to share your heart and should be done regularly. Whatever you do, don't leave things unsaid until it's too late. You never know how long you'll be in this earthly body.Another way to leave your legacy is by sharing it in a scrapbook, writing it down. In time words spoken tend to fade, can be forgotten or misquoted. The written word can be a cherished memory that your loved ones can read over and over again, as they look at the albums and so many memories through the years are passed down to future generations. WOW! Think about what an impact you can make.So what do you write about? First you can tell them how much you love and appreciate them placing these messages on pages with yout loved ones photos. Advice about life and how you've learned the hard way may help steer someone on the right path. And, of course, sharing your Christian faith will give them direction and hope. The only way to true happiness is through Jesus Christ. There is no other way. We can be good all day long but that won't get any of us to Heaven. The secret is the easiest choice---to walk with God every day and by following His Word, the Bible.In my Legacy of Faith scrapbook I am including my salvation experience, how I poured out my heart to God and how I feel about Him, including several pages about how God loves me and cares about me, included matters of prayers for others, included various favorite scriptures and songs that have special meaning to me. I also have a page that details my quiet time with the Lord. Every page has been carefully created with meaning. Nothing was slapped together just because it looked good.My prayer is that you will consider putting your Legacy of Faith into a scrapbook album. It can be one in so many different ways but the important thing is to just do it (Psalms 78:4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done). Leaving a Legacy of Faith!

What are you thankful for? If you are like me, you can probably think of many, many things. Remember the Hymn? Count your Blessings?

Can you count all the amazing blessings in your life? Having your bl;essings laid out in front of you will leave an important legacy, and give you many reasons to smile this Wonderful Thanksgiving and many more to come!

What do your children think of when they
think of you? Their answers would be very
revealing, wouldn't they? I had a friend
share with me how her son had brought
home a picture he had drawn for Mother's
Day some time back, when the child was
instructed to add words describing his mom
to the picture, he chose chocolate chip
cookies, reading, napping and laughing.
She smiled as she thought of the accuracy
of those words. Just as she remembers this
drawing we can create instances that will
impact our children as well.
Every day we leave fingerprints on our kids.
What do we want our children to think of
when they think of their parents? A mom
who was gentle and firm in her discipline
or a mom who flew off the handle easily?
A mom who seemed permanently attached
to her phone or a mom who was available for
life's big and small moments? A mom who
occasionally went to church or a mom whose
love for God was part of her everyday life?

A legacy can be defined as "something
handed down." Every day through our words
and actions we are developing a legacy to
be carried in the character of our children.
It is easy for the busyness of life to keep
you from being purposeful in your parenting.
Let's decide today to leave the legacy we really
want. Let's make sure it's a legacy not born of
busyness and urgency, but one born of
purposefuleness and prayer.

It is always helps me to remember that God
is a parent too. So who better to turn to for
parenting advice? It also helps me to know
that God loves my children even more than
I do, He will fill in the gaps for us as we seek
Him first. No matter what kind of parent you
have been, today you can decide to add to
and improve the legacy you are leaving.
These are the only days we have with our children.
We don't get them back. Let's begin today to be
the Leaving the Legacy of Faith we want our children
to know and God expects out of us!

Record these experiences in a scrapbook,
along with photos of you and your family.
The treasure will out live you and will be a
documented record of your faith and the
legacy you leave.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." ~Philippians 4:19



God desires to provide for us. Many times he requires an action of faith and obedience to set his provisions for us into motion. I can think of many times when I have needed something- financial, emotional, spiritual, relational, or phy...sical. Almost every time God already had a solution but wanted me to first trust in Him and step out in faith, believing He would provide. Many times stepping out is a scary thing, but I have found that it gets easier everytime, because each time he provides my faith grows stronger for the next time I need to step out.



Think back over time and remember a time when God supernaturally supplied your needs and create a page about it.
